eduroam - macOS Setup

The following documentation shows the process of getting your Mac device set up to connect to the eduroam secure wireless network. The screenshots below are from macOS Yosemite, but the process should be similar for macOS Sequoia and older supported versions of macOS.

*Note: Administrator privileges are required to install the software.

Step

Open a browser and go to the Mac configuration start page (https://cloud.securew2.com/public/41406/eduroam/).

*Note: Use UCB Wireless, UCB Guest or another network to download the app and sign in for the first time. eduroam will fail or show as out of range if you're not on campus while trying to connect.

Step

Click the JoinNow button.

Step

The software will download.

Step

When the download is complete, open the folder of the downloaded file and double-click the WiFi_JoinNow_Wrapper.dmg icon.

Step

In the window that appears, double-click the SecureW2 WiFi_JoinNow_Wrapper icon to begin the installation.

Step

An alert will appear asking you to confirm that you want to open the file. Click the Open button.

Step

Enter your [email protected] and IdentiKey password, then click Next.

Step

A window will appear and ask you to enter your computer's Username and Password. Enter your credentials, then click the OK button.

*Note: This requires administrator rights on your computer. If you have a managed computer, contact your DDS technician or IT practitioner for assistance.

Step

Go to System Settings/Preferences > Privacy & Security > Profiles and double-click on the University of Colorado Boulder eduroam profile.

Step

A window will appear asking you to confirm that you want to install the profile. Click Install...

Step

An alert will appear asking you to confirm again that you want to install the profile. Click Install.

Step

A window will appear asking you to allow the changes. Verify your credentials using your Touch ID or computer password.

Step

The installation will complete. When finished, click Done.

Step

You should now be connected to the eduroam secure wireless network.

If you are not connected, select eduroam from your available Wi-Fi networks.
